The Phoenix Theatre has produced plays by, and about, our Latino and Hispanic communities since 1985.
In 2006, we took our commitment to the next level by deciding to produce one play in Spanish and English each season. This year, we’re bringing in a unique play that is written in a bilingual fashion. Simply put, that means that there is dialogue in both English and Spanish, so anyone who speaks either language will understand the play and its language.
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo! with the Phoenix Theatre by seeing B’AKTUN 13, a bilingual story about the final chapter in the Mayan calendar and how it could change everything we know…about the world and ourselves.
In addition to the 1-hour play, we are having a tequila tasting sponsored by Suavecito Tequila after the Friday and Saturday shows. Additionally, Adobo Grill is bringing their famous fresh guacamole!
